FAQ
The Answers You Need
What should I bring to class?
You are welcome to bring a yoga mat and a water bottle to class. If you are taking a hot yoga class we recommend that you bring a towel as well. If you do not have a mat we do have them available for you to borrow.
What do I wear to a yoga class?
Wear clothes that are soft, flexible and allow freedom of movement. You want clothing that is comfortable and won’t slip while moving that also provides coverage while bending and stretching in various poses. Fitted exercise clothes that you can sweat in are a great option for our active classes. You'll practice bare foot without socks. Some jewelry is fine such as moderate sized rings, earrings and tight bracelets. Necklaces, dangly earrings, loose bracelets, watches and large rings may get in your way. Hair ties or head bands for long hair are extremely helpful!
Is it ok for me to take a class if I am pregnant?
Yoga can be very beneficial during pregnancy, but please be sure to let your instructor know you are pregnant so they can help you with modifications. Prenatal yoga is a great class to take during all stages of pregnancy. Make sure to drink plenty of water and take bathroom breaks as needed.
Can I eat before I come to class?
It is best to avoid eating heavier meals before your practice, having them 2-3 hours before class. A light snack is fine and best to have one hour prior to class.
How early should I arrive to class?
If it is your first time visiting our studio, and you did not pre register, it is best arrive 10-15 minutes before class starts to meet the instructor and fill out some paperwork. If you have a package please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes ahead of time to get signed in and set up. YOu do not need to come 30 minutes early, the door will be locked.
Is it okay to leave early?
We practice Shavasana in every class in our studio. This means that we lay down at the end of class very still and quiet, so if you leave it can be disruptive to other students. We do understand that once in a while you may need to leave a few minutes early, please let the instructor know before your class starts. Please also set up your mat near the prop room so you can leave easily.
